THE WILLARD WAY - Be Caring, Be Respectful, Be Responsible
Students learn what it looks like and sounds like to be Caring, Respectful, and Responsible in the classroom, outside of the classroom and all over the school.
Expectations are taught and reinforced. We give a HOOT! Literally, we pass out "Hoots" or little slips of paper to students who we "catch" showing caring, respectful, or responsible behaviors.
Students save up their Hoots and then can use them to buy fun items and/or experiences at our Hoot Store. The classroom can also earn Class Hoots for using teamwork and showing the "Willard Way."
Classrooms set Hoot goals and have celebrations when we reach these goals.
The entire school celebrates together for working hard at being caring, respectful, and responsible students as well.
Cool Tools are used throughout the year to help reinforce expectations as well. These teaching tools help students role play and/or discuss solutions to possible scenarios they may encounter
